Everyone has to start at the bottom and work their way up the ladder you don't get to skip the bottom rungs just because you're picky. Realize that whatever job you take is NOT a template for every other job you'll have afterwards it's just a way to learn work ethics and basic employment habits (respect for the timeclock and schedule, self-discipline, budgeting your work time, how to break down big tasks into little ones, meeting deadlines, working with a team, honoring company policies, fielding problem co-workers and bosses, etc. same as you'd have with any other job). ~~~ If you refuse to work weekends or after 8pm, you're severely limiting your options. That's an unrealistic ideal when you're still at the bottom of the ladder. At this stage, you should be accepting those kinds of schedules until you have more skills and experience. THEN you can be more picky. If you plan to take college classes too, then weekends and evenings might be the only jobs you can fit into a schedule. Tweet
